Founded by Christophe Hascoat, a native New Yorker, Taylor Supply Co. is a locally-based brand that is designed and produced exclusively in New York City.

We draw our inspiration from iconic clothing created from the 1930’s to the 1950’s.  It was a time of intense pride in industrial innovation, creation and craftsmanship.  This is what Taylor Supply Company seeks to emulate. Our hope is to embody what we find special about this period of design history: ruggedness, minimalism, durability, and functionality.  Those were the important elements of design then, and they remain the elements that influence current and future Taylor products—enhanced, however, by a contemporary approach to styling and fit.

Innovations like the IWC Big Pilot’s Watch, the Bantam BRC-60 Jeep, and the Eames Lounge Chair are examples of the types of design we want to see influencing today’s market.  Our aim is to create Twenty-first Century clothing that will revive the creativity that conceptualized those timeless pieces of history, and to carry on their legacy.

That is the spirit as well as the vision of Taylor Supply Co.  Our line is designed to recall a time when clothes were made to be worn, to be comfortable, to last, and to look good.

Quality is extremely important to us here at Taylor, which is why our garments are sewn in a small factory in Manhattan, New York in very limited production lots. By maintaining strict control over the quantities produced we can ensure that each garment we sell carries our stamp of craftsmanship.

Our hope is for the wearer of our garments to want to keep each piece of Taylor clothing as a staple in their closet.  We strive to eliminate the idea of "disposable" fashion and seek to provide items that become our customers go-to favorites.

Logo Update Explained:

Christophe decided to pursue the update to the Taylor Supply Co. logo to improve the versatility and flexibility of the company’s branding.

“By simplifying the logo we are able to use it as a broader foundation on which to build.  This modification also allows for the logo element of the brand to be executed across a wide range of media.”

The revised, more modern logo still embodies the industrial soul of Taylor Supply, but exists closer to the heart of the 30’s to the 50’s than the original logo did.  This is the essence of Taylor design and represents more aptly the era we would like to identify with.
